
Founder’s Bio
Dr. Mary J. Samba, Ph.D., MHA
Dr. Mary J. Samba is the Founder, President, and CEO of Loving Hands Touch Ministry, Inc., a faith-based nonprofit serving families in Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and partner communities in Africa. She has spent more than 30 years advancing the well-being of vulnerable children, youth, seniors, and families through healthcare leadership, mental wellness advocacy, and community outreach.​

Guided by Isaiah 6:8 and shaped by her early life in Sierra Leone, Dr. Samba has a deep commitment to standing with people facing poverty, illness, and social isolation.

In 2016 she launched Loving Hands Touch Ministry, which now offers weekly healthy food distribution, youth mental-wellness programs, intergenerational community gardens, health education, and crisis support, along with international initiatives supporting orphans and women entrepreneurs in Sierra Leone and Ghana.​
​
Her service has been recognized with honors such as the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for volunteer service and local awards for outreach during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Samba continues to live out her calling by touching families, transforming communities, and inspiring others to serve.
